Rev. Dr .H.M. Abale Phiri

Rev. Dr. Hastings Matemba Abale-Phiri is a seasoned ordained minister and senior academic with over two decades of experience in theological education, pastoral ministry, and academic leadership. He holds a Doctor of Theology (D.Th) from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, with specialized expertise in intercultural missiology, church history, and systematic theology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Abale-Phiri has served in various high-impact roles, including Vice Principal and Senior Lecturer at Zomba Theological College, where he has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, mentored students, supervised research, and led curriculum development. He has also lectured at Chancellor College and served as College Chaplain, contributing significantly to spiritual formation and ministerial training.

A committed Christian leader, Dr. Abale-Phiri currently serves as Parish Minister at Namitete CCAP in Blantyre and remains actively engaged in academic research, ecumenical dialogue, and capacity-building within the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP). His work reflects a deep commitment to Christian values, educational excellence, and holistic ministry.
