Mr. Joshua Chienda

Joshua Chienda is a seasoned Malawian academic, corporate leader, and publishing expert with over 35 years of experience in management, printing, packaging, and higher education. He is currently Lecturer in Business Management and Head of Commerce at the University of Blantyre Synod. He holds an MSc in Leadership and Change Management from Leeds Metropolitan University, along with degrees in science and printing technology. His career includes senior roles such as Government Printer under the Office of the President and Cabinet, Managing Director of Digital Arts, and General Manager of Blantyre Print and Packaging. He also lectured in printing technology and served as Head of the Journalism Department at the University of Malawi.

As Head of the Faculty of Commerce, Joshuabrings strategic leadership, industry expertise, and academic excellence that continue to drive curriculum relevance, staff mentorship, and innovation within the department. His extensive experience bridges theory and practice, adding immense value to both faculty and students.
