This is an introductory course in the methods and principles of good reasoning. Its main focus is on helping students to understand arguments, their nature, their use and their importance as well as detect defects in argumentation.

The aim of the course is to equip students with critical thinking and reasoning skills so as to develop intellectual dispositions essential for effective evaluation of truth claims as well as for making reasonable decisions.
